Uzara; Xysmolobium undulatum
Xysmolobium undulatum or Uzara is a South African plant known for its wide hairy leaves. It's also known under the common name milk bush or bitterwortel (bitter root).
The Zulu used it as a snuff for a sedating effect.

Uzara root powder has a relaxing effect, described as soothing rather than sleep-inducing. There are no known side effects.
DREAM HERB?
Uzara is not traditionally considered part of the African Ubulawu dream herbs, however, as it was such a widely used plant by the Xhosa, it may have been an ingredient in the dream herb mix. It may have been used to prevent side effects from occurring or possibly to help relax and prepare for the dream journey.
